Call for Abstracts

Please Read the Following Carefully Before Submitting Abstracts for ENDOCYTOBIOLOGY VII

All participants are invited to present a paper at the ENDOCYTOBIOLOGY VII Congress either as an oral contribution or as a poster. There will be an opportunity for contributed oral presentations (20 minutes) in the programme, in addition to plenary, keynote and invited lectures. There will be poster sessions for participants to display their work in less formal settings allowing active discussion between interested colleagues and establishment of new contacts. Anyone wishing to present an oral or poster contribution, including invited speakers and chairpersons, should submit an abstract

NOT LATER THAN JANUARY 12, 1998.

Preference for either oral or poster presentation may be indicated and will be taken into account whenever possible, but the Scientific Committee reserves the right to accept or reject papers, and to assign them to oral or poster presentation. Abstract presenters must be registered participants. Notification of acceptance of papers and their presentation as oral or poster contributions will be mailed to the authors. The abstracts of all contributed papers will be published in a sepcial issue of ENDOCYTOBIOSIS & CELL RESEARCH. A copy of this issue will be available to each registrant at the beginning of the Conference, included in the registration materials.

Abstracts for Endocytobiology VII may be submitted via the World Wide Web and the abstract supplement will be available for viewing and searching on the Web beginning in February 1998.

This system will work best for those who have access to the World Wide Web through a forms-capable Web browser such as Netscape 2.0 or later (which can be easily downloaded from the Web for all who have appropriate system configurations), Internet Explorer or UNIX Text Browser Lynx. We strongly urge all participants who are able to do so to use this method of submission. The more abstracts that are received via the Web, the better the electronic abstract supplement will work. In recognition that not all participants have access to the Web or to the proper browsing software, abstracts may also be submitted via e-mail (as MIME-encoded attached files in WordPerfect 6.0 or later or Microsoft Word 6.0 or later ) or via physical mail. Although these methods of submission will work, they are cumbersome and expensive to convert to the Web file. Again, we urgently request everyone who has World Wide Web capability to use that format to submit his or her abstract.

In the case of all three methods of submission, authors will be strictly limited to 1.800 characters in the body of the abstract.

Acknowledgments will be sent to all who submit, regardless of the method they use.

For the submission of abstracts to work effectively, it is critical that you read and follow the instructions carefully when you send your abstracts for ENDOCYTOBIOLOGY VII.

Please remember the following guidelines:

• Limit the body of your abstract to 1.800 characters .
• If at all possible, submit via world Wide Web.
• Most important:

BE SURE TO SUBMIT BY JANUARY 12, 1998.
